Description
At the foot of Wrynose Pass, the farm buildings at Fell Foot consist of a 16th century north wing and a main block from the 17th century. The structure is a long, low house made of white-washed stone rubble with a flag roof and two storeys. The entrance is located under an overhang of a slate-hung upper storey, which is gabled and features no windows, although the timber beam ends are visible in the gable. The building has four small modern casement windows on the ground floor and five above, with a slate dripstone over the ground floor. There is a round chimney at the north end. To the right, there is a lower former cottage, now part of the house, which includes a door, two windows on the ground floor, one above, a loft door, and a large round chimney on the end. Adjoining on the left are higher stables made of stone and slate, featuring four doors facing the roadside. The rear of the building rises up the hill and has a barn door on the upper level, above the stables, with large quoins.
