Description
The farm buildings adjoining Church Farmhouse to the northeast consist of stables, a barn, an engine house, a loft over the stable, and a range of outbuildings, all dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from red sandstone random rubble with brick dressings and slate roofs. The layout features two L-shaped ranges that enclose a foldyard.
Range A is attached to the northeast corner of Church Farm and is connected by an archway to the stables. The stable block is single-storey with three bays, divided by a garden wall that links to the cross wing of the farmhouse. It has a central opening with three semi-circular steps leading down. The barn is positioned at right angles to the stables and has a half-hipped roof facing the road, with double doors and a porch opening onto the foldyard. At the rear is a hipped roof engine house.
Range B includes a loft over the stables, which is two storeys high, featuring one opening on the first floor and two doors on the ground floor. This range is connected at right angles to single-storey outbuildings. The interiors were not seen. The buildings are listed primarily for their group value with Church Farmhouse.
