Description
The boundary stone, located approximately 60 metres north of Trentishoe Road, is a post-Medieval marker dating from 1840. Made of slate, it stands 1.12 metres high, 0.64 metres wide, and 0.18 metres thick. The east face of the stone is inscribed with the letters "TM" and the date "1840." It leans against the boundary bank to the west and signifies the boundary between the parishes and manors of Combe Martin and Trentishoe. This stone is one of the better preserved in a group of similar boundary markers along the parish boundary.
