Description
This building is a bank barn with integral stables and a horse-engine house, dating from around the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a half-hipped roof that has been re-clad in sheet steel.
The barn has a long rectangular layout, with the bank barn located at the east end, which includes a cart entrance. The horse-engine house, now demolished, was situated at the higher ground level at the rear. The stables are integrated into the west end of the structure.
On the south front, there is a stone step leading up to a high-level doorway that has plank doors, with a window positioned between the doorway and the ground. At the rear, on the north side, the ground level is higher, featuring a cart entrance to the left of center and the former engine house to the right of center.
Inside, the roof trusses are made with collars that are pegged to the faces of the principal rafters, and there are some later timbers that have been added.
