Description
Garliscombe Mill is a disused corn mill dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from slatestone rubble and features a gabled Welsh slate roof. The building has a one-unit plan and is one storey high with a loft. There is a pointed-arched loft window on the north gable and a square-headed loft window on the south gable. A flat stone arch is present over the doorway on the north side of the west wall. Additionally, there is a north lean-to with a corrugated iron roof and the remains of a mill wheel can be found on the south side. Inside, the mill retains wooden gearing and two pairs of mill stones in the loft, making it a good example of a small corn mill with its original machinery.
