Description

This is a signpost from the early 20th century made of cast iron. It features a rectangular sign with the words "Monksilver" and "Slow" inscribed in raised letters. The sign is attached to a later upright iron post, which is topped with a triangle displaying the letters "SCC." The signpost is primarily noted for its historic interest and as a fine example of cast iron lettering.
