Description
The telephone kiosk on Dry Lane in Christow is a K6 model, a standardized design made of cast iron and painted red. It features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with crowns on the top panels that are applied rather than perforated. Beneath the shallow-curved roof, there are rectangular white display signs that read "TELEPHONE." The interior has been modernized with updated equipment.
This kiosk is situated on a hill north of the historic village center of Christow and has a strong visual connection to several listed buildings in the area, including Wells House with its outbuilding and walled garden, Sea Hill House, and Sea Point.
