Description

The King's Bridge, including the southwest abutment, is a bridge over the River Ashburn, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from stone rubble with granite detailing. The bridge features a single segmental arch made of well-cut voussoirs, with a raised keystone on the south side. The parapet has large rounded coping stones and bends southwest along the line of the abutment. The north parapet has been removed, and the arch is concealed due to road widening.
