Description
This is a barn located approximately 240 metres south-east of the Vicarage, dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with large moorstone quoins and features a Welsh slate roof that has 19th-century dressed stone coping at the gable ends.
The south front facing the road has a wide cart entrance with chamfered granite jambs, straight steps, and a chamfered timber lintel with mason's mitres. There is a 19th-century open-fronted stone porch with granite jambs and a slate roof that extends from the main roof. To the right of the porch, there is a doorway framed with chamfered granite, although the steps at the base of the jambs are indeterminable. To the left of the front, there is a slit window ventilator with granite jambs, a lintel, and a cill.
On the north side, opposite the main entrance, there is a small doorway with a chamfered granite lintel and jambs. Below the lintel level, there are small square ventilation holes to the left. The right side is covered in ivy, obscuring any openings. The west gable end is also clad in ivy but has a visible slit window or ventilator at the centre of the base. There is a window opening high up in the east gable, which is also covered in ivy.
