Description
Corner Cottage is a cottage within a row of cottages, numbered 1 to 4, dating from around the 17th century and remodelled in the 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features an asbestos slate roof with gabled ends and raised eaves, with the lower right-hand end at a lower level. The layout likely consists of three rooms and a through passage, with a lateral stack at the rear of the lower end and a gable and stack at the higher end. There is also a 20th-century rear outshut. The cottage has two storeys and a regular four-window range, featuring late 19th-century two and three-light casements with glazing bars. A 20th-century gabled porch is located to the right of the center. Although the interior was not inspected, it is said to have an old open fireplace. The cottage is included for its group value.
