Description

Highbury Bridge is a road bridge that spans Blackaton Brook, likely built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from granite stone rubble, featuring ashlar voussoirs and coping. The bridge has a small single span with a plain vault that forms a segmental arch, supported by vertical abutments and a slightly-projecting keystone. There are no drip courses or terminal piers. The parapet is flat, with rounded coping that curves outward at both ends.
