Description

This is a headstone dated 1795, located approximately 1.5 metres south of the aisle of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Gidleigh. It commemorates Alice Bovice and is made of granite. The upright slab stands about 700mm high and features rounded top corners. The front has a simple incised frame and is inscribed with plain bold upper and lower case lettering, recording the death of Alice Bovice in 1795.
