Description
No. 73 Gloucester Street is a house in a row, built in the late 18th century. It features smooth rendered rubble with an inset brick panel in the wall on the left, set over a four-course cut limestone plinth that matches the height of the adjoining dwelling, No. 75. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has a large brick stack located centrally. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a two-windowed facade. The gabled dormers on the attic have small two-light casements, while the first floor has two-light early 19th-century casements. On the ground floor, there is a mid-20th-century metal casement window set in the brick panel, alongside a sash window without bars that sits on a stone cill. To the right of the windows, there is a four-panel flush door that is accessed by two concrete steps. This building is included in the register primarily for its group value.
