Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres north-west of The Moat House, dates from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century. It features square-panelled timber framing with both painted and unpainted brick infill. The north gable end is partly covered with weatherboarding, and the roof is made of corrugated iron. The barn has a rectangular plan and includes a shelter shed that is positioned at right angles to the north gable end. There are opposing double doors for access. Inside, the barn retains original roof trusses that include a collar beam and raking struts, along with staggered double purlins. The threshing floor is flagged. The south end of the barn was rebuilt in the same style in the 20th century after a fire.
