Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary, approximately 0.5 meters south of the chancel. It dates from the 17th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features fielded inscription panels at either end, which show traces of former inscriptions. The sides of the tomb are divided into panels with raised margins, but there is no inscription visible on the central panel. The upper edge is capped with a moulding, and there is a cross finial, which appears to have come from the gable end of the nave, lying on the capping.
