Description
Green Farm is a detached farmhouse that dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with 19th and 20th-century alterations. The building features a combination of brick and square-panelled timber-framing with unpainted brick infill, topped by a red tile roof and brick stacks. It has an L-shaped plan with a 19th-century infill in the angle between the wings at the rear right, and a large 19th-century service wing at the rear left, which has been altered and converted in the 20th century.
The main body of the farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by a single 2-light gabled roof dormer. The garden front has two 20th-century canted bay windows on the ground floor, while the other windows are mostly 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. At the centre of the left-hand wall, there is a projecting 19th-century gabled porch that is part-glazed, featuring a pendant and finial. The entrance includes a fielded 4-panel door. The interior has not been inspected.
