Description
This is a signpost located at the junction with the lane to White End in Ashleworth, likely dating from the early 20th century. It features a stone base with a smaller concrete base above it, and a tapered hexagonal wooden post that is painted in alternating black and white bands. The post has three arms, each supported by short curved braces that rise from timber corbels. The arms have concave ends and a cover strip at the top. The head of the post is slightly enlarged and topped with a moulded cap. The lettering on the sign is in sans serif style and reads 'GLOUCESTER / HASFIELD / QUAY'.
