Description
This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 1 meter north of the lychgate at the Church of St Edward, dating from the mid-18th century. It is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge. The south side has a fielded eastern panel, with carved panels on either side that have raised, moulded edges, a cherub's head over wings at the top, and sunflowers below. Beyond these are fluted pilasters, with the fluting infilled with reeds in the bottom third. The north side has carved panels with fronds, but is otherwise similar to the south side. The ends of the tomb have fielded panels, and it stands on a moulded plinth. There is no visible inscription.
