Description
The cross shaft base in the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Trinity is located approximately 28 meters east-south-east of the chancel. This structure features a medieval base with a 19th-century cross shaft made of limestone. The base has a square plan and includes a flat-chamfered plinth and a flat-chamfered capping. An inner step supports the cross shaft base, which has a chamfer around the bottom and concave mouldings at the upper corners. The octagonal shaft is topped with a gabled scene depicting the crucifixion. There is also a brass plaque commemorating Joseph Enis, Vicar, and his wife Ann, dated 1897.
