Description
The summer house, located approximately 20 meters east of Forthampton House, dates from the 18th century and is constructed of brick with a stone slate roof and a brick stack. It has a square, plain design featuring central part-glazed double doors with fielded panels at the bottom and a fanlight above, framed by a Gibbs surround. On either side of the doors are six-pane casements, which are flanked by pilasters and topped with modillioned moulding. The roof is pyramidal with a modillion cornice and has a weathervane at the apex. Inside, there is inset panelling below the dado and a small fireplace with lugged surround moulding that extends down to form scroll terminals.
