Description

No. 8 High Street is a mid-19th century house in a row. The facade is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork with stone dressings and a tile roof. It is three storeys high and has a two-window front. The upper floors contain four-pane sashes within segmental-headed surrounds with moulded architraves. A plain cill band runs along the second floor, and there are small cill brackets. The shop front is 19th century with a moulded cornice, and the entrance door is set back to the right. Alternating rusticated stone quoins and a moulded stone eaves cornice define the exterior, and there is a hipped roof. No chimney stacks are visible from the street. The interior has not been inspected.
