Description
No. 6 High Street is a late 18th-century house that is part of a row of buildings. It features Flemish bond brickwork, a tile roof, and a brick chimney stack. The building has a narrow three-storey front with one window. The first and second floors have Palladian windows with plain raised surrounds, which contain glazing-bar sashes. The arched center of each window has Y-tracery, while the lower sash is plain. The cills are supported by four small console brackets. The ground floor has a 20th-century full-width shop front. At the top, there is a coped parapet, and to the left, a rendered party wall features a tripartite sash window with 4:12:4 panes near the back. The rear wall has a paired four-light sash window with a mullion box and a segmental head, positioned above later extensions. The roof is long and hipped, with the chimney stack located to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
