Description
The Wright Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 13 meters west of the south aisle of the Church of St Bartholomew. It commemorates Henry Wright, senior, who died in 1663, and Ann Wright, who died in 1700. The tomb is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge and lyre ends adorned with leaf scrolls that enclose an oval panel. The sides of the tomb have sunk panels with moulded edges and framed leaf decoration on each side. The lettering is well-preserved, with "Henry Wright" inscribed on the south side and "Ann" on the north side.
