Description

This is a small house on Stanway Road, dating to the late 17th century and altered in the early 20th century by and for Sir P. Stott, and again in the late 20th century. The house is constructed of squared, coursed stone with a stone slate roof. It has a two-window front and two storeys. The front elevation features mullioned windows with leaded lights and hoodmoulds. There is a two-light window to the left, followed by a late 20th-century glazed door within a deep stone lintel with a 4-centred arch and a hoodmould. To the right of the door is a three-light window. Above are two three-light windows. A parapet gable is present on the left side, and the roofline continues to the rear of the Vine public house. A gable chimney with a moulded cap is located on the left. The building is included on the list principally for its group value.
