Description

The Lydia Durham chest tomb, located approximately 11 meters west of the west door to St Peter's Church, is an early 18th-century memorial made of limestone. It features a flat top with a moulded edge, fluted corners, and fielded panels, along with a moulded base. This tomb commemorates Lydia Durham, who passed away in 1736, among others. It is one of a pair of similar memorials in this location, although the other tomb is not identified.
