Description
Church Cottage is a house built in two parts during the late 18th century. It is constructed from squared and coursed limestone with a stone slate roof and has rendered gable stacks. There is a small set-back extension on the right side. The building is two storeys high and features two windows plus one additional window, all of which are sash windows with glazing bars, set in reveals with heavy stone cills. There is also a two-light 20th-century casement window to the left of the centre on the ground floor. The entrance consists of a six-panel door within a plain stone surround.
To the left of the cottage, there is a coursed squared limestone boundary wall that runs approximately 13 meters. This wall is about 2.6 meters high and has plain weathered coping, leading to a square pier at the junction with the garden of the Jacobean House. This wall is important for maintaining the architectural continuity of the street in this area.
