Description

The Stirrups is a detached cottage dating to the 17th century. It is characterised by square-panelled timber framing with some curved bracing and rendered infill. The roof is thatched, with decorative ridge thatching and brick, partly rendered stacks. The cottage has a rectangular main body and features large projecting stacks at each gable end. It is a building of 1½ storeys, with two 2-light eyebrow dormers lighting the upper floor. Ground floor windows include a single light casement and 2 and 3-light casements. A lean-to porch with a 20th-century glass door with glazing bars is located to the right of the left gable end stack, which is doubled. The interior has not been inspected.
