Description

The building is a former stables and ciderhouse, now used as a farm store, located about 29 meters east of Maisemore Court. It dates from the early 19th century and features Flemish bond brickwork on the front and English bond brickwork on the rear, with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. The front has three bays and is one room deep, standing two stories tall.

The facade facing the garden has a plinth and three blind arches, which are about 110mm recessed and rise through both stories. These arches are semi-circular and made of rubbed brick, with plain stone string courses at the springing level. On the ground floor, there is a shuttered window on the left with a cambered brick arch, and to the right, a boarded door with a three-pane rectangular fanlight above, which has a flat head and is an original feature cut into the side of the pier between the arches. The first floor has three blind windows that are rendered, with stone sills and slightly cambered brick arches. The building has a moulded cornice, a plain brick parapet, and stone coping. The roof is hipped, with normal eaves at the back and sides.

Internally, the left side contains the cider house, while the right side has a stable with two stalls and two loose boxes. The first floor has plastered walls and ceiling, supported by king-post roof trusses. Access to the cider house and upper floor doors is available from the left return. The building forms a group with the house and church nearby.
