Description

WHITMINSTER UPPER FRAMILODE SO 71 SE 3/280 Lea Court Farm II Former small farmhouse. Possibly late C16 and partly an open hall, enlarged in C17 and altered during C18. Probably timber-framed core, only partially exposed on interior, faced in brick and partly rendered, tile roof with central brick ridge stack to front range. T-shape range with rear wing added probably in C17, two storeys and attic, former lobby entry front range. Fenestration mostly of C20 with large casements flanking former blocked doorway to front range and with very small square light over, probably for stair. Interior has chamfered and stopped beams in most main rooms, renewed timber bressumer to ground floor fireplace with altered newel stair to left.
