Description

Two houses, numbers 3 and 5 Tetbury Street, stand as a row and were likely built in the mid to late 17th century. The exterior is constructed of random rubble limestone, with ashlar limestone detailing and rebuilt chimneys of artificial stone. The roof is covered in stone slate. The houses are two storeys high with an attic, and a rear wing extends from number 3.

The front of the houses features a mix of window styles, primarily timber windows with iron casements on the upper floor. One restored mullioned casement with three lights is present on the ground floor. A later rebuilding around the doorway on the left is topped with a timber lintel. A 20th-century reconstruction on the right connects the houses with the adjacent property at number 7.

The west side of the buildings reveals two gables. One gable features a chimney with a chamfered cap, while the other has an oval window above the ground and upper floors, both framed by timber casements. An attached row of buildings is considered not to be of particular architectural interest.

The rear wing belonging to number 3 has a higher pitched roof. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
