Description
The former stables at The Mount House, dating from the early to mid 18th century, are now used for storage. The building is constructed of rubblestone with quoins and features a Cotswold stone slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with an attic that has two gabled dormers positioned above the eaves at each end. The central portion retains two loose boxes, and there are three doors and two windows, all differing but featuring wooden lintels. A square pitching hole is located in the center of the attic at the eaves level. To the left, there is a small lower range made of dressed stone with large double doors. This building is included for its group value with The Mount House.
