Description

Old Farm is a detached house with a late 16th-century core, enlarged probably in the 17th century, and restored in the 1960s. The house is constructed of rubble stone with quoins on the left side, the rear is roughcast, and it has a Cotswold stone slate roof with rebuilt stone stacks. The building follows an L-plan, with a through passage in the main range. It is two storeys high with an attic. Windows are scattered and renewed, mostly consisting of 2 or 3-light wooden casements with wooden lintels. There are two 20th-century doors facing into the angle of the building, along with three hipped dormers also facing into the angle. Inside, a ground floor room at the rear right features very large chamfered cross beams and remnants of large fireplaces at each end of the roof. A passage runs behind the fireplace located in the centre of the house.
