Description
This group of two monuments is located in the churchyard approximately 25 meters northeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Cyr. They date from the late 18th century and are made of sandstone. The first monument is a Greek Revival style rectangular chest tomb featuring fluted Doric columns in the corner recesses and a Greek fret frieze, inscribed to Samuel Clutterbuck, who died in 1798. The second monument is a square pedestal tomb with rounded ends, fluted friezes, shrouded urns, and oval side panels made of red sandstone, topped with domical coping. This tomb is inscribed to Mary Hogg, who died in 1795.
