Description
This is a barn located to the north of Court Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century with a late 19th-century addition. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn is likely a five-bay structure and includes a west porch. There is a domestic wing on the west side, which was partially demolished at the time of the survey in November 1985.
On the west side, there is a central gabled porch with a timber lintel, although the barn doors are missing. The domestic wing extends forward to the left and has a two-light chamfered mullioned casement and a Tudor-arched doorway, both of which feature hoodmoulds. The north end of the barn has mullioned windows in the gable and a four-light window in the wing, along with two Tudor-arched doorways. The east side has blank walls without a barn door. The interior was not inspected. This barn contributes to the overall character of the Court Farm group.
