Description

These are late 18th-century mill workshops. They are constructed of coursed rubble limestone, with red brick detailing, and have a Welsh slate roof. The building is three storeys high. The north side has a five-window arrangement to the middle and upper floors, with all windows being segmental-arched casements with small panes of glass. A 20th-century garage door is set into the ground floor. A segmental-arched doorway with a plank door is located on the east end, with a small-paned casement window above. The west end has been altered using brickwork. The roof is hipped. Attached garages at the west end are not considered to have any special architectural interest. The south side is a blank brick elevation, with an eaves-mounted brick chimney. The workshops were originally designed for the hand preparation of cloth and are part of a group that includes Leonard Stanley House and Splash Cottage.
