Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located approximately 10 meters west of the south-west corner of the Church of St Giles, dating from the early 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a very rich baroque design. The tomb has a thick cyma moulding at the top and heavy quarter balusters that frame half-cylindrical ends. The east end showcases high relief carvings of putti heads and emblems, while the west end displays a palm, a ring, and a book. The north side has a fielded panel, and the south side features a rich cartouche. The inscriptions on the tomb are not legible, and the base was found to be sunk into the ground at the time of the survey. Overall, it is an especially splendid memorial that was in reasonably good condition during the survey.
