Description

A pair of small cottages with a shop, dating from the 18th century. The cottages are constructed from squared and coursed limestone with stone slate roofs. A parallel rear range has a concrete tile roof. A one-bay extension with a gable stack was added to the right, and a smaller extension, with a wide door and attached light, was added to the left. All roofs are steeply pitched. The cottages have gable stacks. The main building has three 2-light casement windows at the first floor, with wooden lintels. At ground floor, there is a 19th-century shop front, a modern glazed door with a ridged stone slate porch, a 3-panel part-glazed door under a similar porch, and a 2-light casement. This modest building is situated forward from No. 49 and contributes to the character of the street.
