Description

No. 56 on The Street is a late 18th-century dwelling constructed of painted rubble with a stone slate roof. It features a remaining stone stack on the right gable and a brick stack on the left. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a two-windowed front, including two-light small casements and one three-light casement on the left, which is set under a voussoired segmental head. There is also a small hipped dormer on the right side and a central 19th-century panelled door. This property is included mainly for its group value, as it completes a row of four properties that are significant to the architectural quality of The Street.
