Description
These are two houses that were originally a single detached house, located approximately 20 meters southwest of Quail Cottage. They date from the early to mid-18th century and were converted into two houses in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of random rubble limestone, with ashlar chimneys, some of which have been rebuilt in yellow brick, and a roof covered in stone slate and concrete tiles.
The building is two stories tall with an attic. The front features a three-window arrangement, all with chamfered mullions and iron casements, with two-light windows except for a three-light window on the left. There are two 19th-century doorways positioned at the center; the left doorway has a Tudor arch supported by detached octagonal columns and a crenellated top, leading to a six-panel door, while the right doorway is plain and also has a six-panel door. There are off-center attic two-light casements in the gable ends, and gable end chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
