Description
Spout Cottage, dated 1710, has been altered, extended, and renovated over the years. It stands two and a half storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. The building features two ashlar chimneys, with the central chimney marked with the date "F . TI 1710." On the right side, there is a cross gable that has a two-light mullion window above two first-floor two-light mullion windows, which share a common drip. The ground floor includes a three-light mullion window with a drip, and to the right is a ledged 19th-century door. To the left, there is a two-storey extension from the early to mid-19th century, which has a range of three-light casements, with segmental heads on the ground floor. The cottage gets its name from the Spout located in the boundary wall of the adjacent field to the south.
