Description
Red Lion House is a house and commercial premises dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a stone slate roof. The building has 2 and a half storeys and two windows. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light chamfer mullion casements above a common moulded string that rises over a central glazed door. The first floor has two similar casements under a continuous moulded string, and to the right, there is a 3-light hipped dormer with slate cheeks. The left gable has a small casement window in the attic. All windows are fitted with glazing bars. There are two brick stacks at the gable ends. At the right end of the building, there is an unfenestrated bay beyond a straight joint in the masonry. The interior has not been inspected. The building was formerly an inn.
