Description

This is a 17th-century house within a row, constructed of limestone rubble with dressed quoins and a concrete tile roof. It is a small property set with its gable facing the street, and a lower unit to the left connects to the rear of the Methodist Chapel. The house has two storeys and an attic, featuring a single window facing the street. At ground level, there is a 3-light casement window with a wood lintel. Above this is a 3-light recessed chamfer mullion casement with a stopped hood. In the gable is a 20th-century 3-light casement. The two-storey unit on the left has a 20th-century single-light casement above a 20th-century part-glazed door. This section is topped with parapet coping and set back from the main gable. A small stack is visible on the back gable, alongside a flat-roofed extension. The property has been heavily modified, but represents an important feature of the streetscape.
