Description

Downfield House is an early 19th-century building located on Caincross Road. It features a rendered exterior and a pitched stone roof, along with ashlar chimneys. The house is two storeys high with an attic, showcasing a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The gable ends are adorned with bargeboards. On the first floor, there are three double-hung sash windows, while the ground floor has three French windows situated behind a mid-19th-century verandah that has a hipped stone roof. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century verandah with a tent roof on the east side, and a mid-19th-century extension at the rear.
