Description

Lowerstone Farmhouse is a late 17th and early 18th century farmhouse situated in Ham and Stone. It is constructed with roughcast over brick, and has a concrete tile roof with rendered brick stacks. The building is L-shaped, with a rear outshut and an additional wing set at a right angle to the main portion. The farmhouse extends to two storeys and has an attic in the gable end. The main range has three windows, including a central three-light mullion and transom window with leaded wood, the centre of which is boarded. There are two further windows on the smaller wing of the L-shape. A central doorcase features a wood trelliswork porch. The rear elevation contains two-light mullion windows with wood frames. During a survey in December 1984, access to the interior was not possible, and the exterior was in a semi-derelict condition.
