Description
The Glen consists of two houses built in a row, dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed from random rubble limestone, with the front roughcast. The chimneys have been rebuilt in concrete block, and the roof is covered with stone slate and concrete tiles.
The buildings are two stories high with an attic and feature a rear outshut. The front has a five-window arrangement, with all windows being two-light chamfered mullioned casements that include hoodmoulds. There are two doorways that have lean-to porch additions and 20th-century doors. Three chimneys are mounted on the ridges, each with chamfered caps. The attic has casements in the gable ends, and the east end shows signs of a possible lower original roofline. The rear outshut has 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
