Description
Willow Cottage is a detached house dating from the late 17th century, with the roof raised in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is built of coursed and random rubble limestone, featuring a rubble chimney and a concrete tile roof. The house is two stories tall with an attic. On the south gable end, there is a single-window layout, with the ground floor altered in the 20th century. The upper floor has a 2-light chamfered mullioned casement window with a hoodmould, and there is a single attic light with a flat hood. The original lower roofline is still visible in the masonry. The east side has a single 2-light casement window on each floor, along with a 20th-century gabled roof dormer. There is a lean-to addition at the north end, and no windows are present on the west side. The interior has not been inspected. Willow Cottage is a relatively unaltered example of a late 17th-century squatter's house, with no major additions.
