Description

Southview is a former row of four houses, now consisting of three, dating from the early 18th century. The building is constructed of random and coursed rubble limestone, with ashlar and brick rebuilt chimneys, and features a stone slate roof. It is a two-storey structure with two gabled rear wings.

The front of the building shows that No 1 on the left retains its original two-window, two-light chamfered mullioned windows, which have combining hoodmoulds. There is a central doorway with a 20th-century door. No 2 has an altered doorway and a two-light mullioned casement window to the right, along with two eaves-level gabled dormers that contain 20th-century casements. No 3 has higher eaves, as it was formerly two houses. Its fenestration has been altered, with all windows now being 20th-century casements; the left two on the ground floor have a blocked doorway between them. There are also two eaves-level roof dormers similar to those on No 2. The building has four assorted ridge-mounted chimneys, most of which have been rebuilt. The interiors have not been inspected.
