Description
A group of two monuments is located in the churchyard approximately 4 meters north of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Minchinhampton. The monuments date from the late 17th century and mid-18th century and are made of limestone.
The group includes a rectangular chest tomb featuring fluted corner pilasters, bolection-moulded side panels adorned with rosettes and drops, and an illegible inscription along with an attached brass plate commemorating Henry Elshew of Burly, who died in 1690. The second monument is a rectangular pedestal tomb with finely carved ends and drops on the side returns. It has a large oval side panel with delicate spandrel carving, a moulded plinth, a moulded top with coping, and a finial cap.
