Description
The Old Farmhouse is a detached house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with ashlar chimneys and has a concrete tile roof. The building is two storeys high, with an attic in the south-west cross-wing.
On the south-west side, the cross-wing features a central doorway with a stone porch that has a curved stone top, and a lozenge window to the left. To the right of the doorway, there are two-light chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, and above the porch, there are more chamfered mullioned windows. The south-east gable end of the cross-wing has a chimney with a chamfered cap.
On the north-west side, the gable end of the cross-wing is flush with the rest of the elevation. This side has a three-window arrangement, all featuring chamfered mullioned 2 and 3-light casements with hoodmoulds, and a 2-light attic casement in the gable. There is a doorway located between the centre and left window, which has a timber lintel and a plank stable-type door. The building also has a central rebuilt ridge-mounted chimney. The interior has not been inspected.
