Description
Kingston Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse constructed of brick on a rubble stone plinth, topped with a tile roof featuring alternating bands of approximately six courses of plain edged and fish-scale tiles. The building has a steeply pitched gabled block facing the road, with a short return wing. The main front, oriented to the southeast, has a central bay that projects forward by half a brick thickness and is adorned with a moulded brick cornice. There are large gable stacks and the farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic. It features three windows, which are three-light casements without glazing bars, set under segmental brick arches. The central entrance consists of a plank door located under a porch that has a 19th-century scalloped barge-board. On the road side, there is one small two-light casement in the gable for the roof space, along with two three-light casements matching those on the main front.
